The Darling Downs Branch celebrates with dinner meetings based around a different international theme. Members may also attend a monthly book club. New members are welcome.
We currently award a bursary to a female medical student, studying at The University of Queensland Rural Clinical School in Toowoomba, who has shown an interest in and commitment to a health career in rural/remote communities.

Fellowships Fund Inc. (FFI) is a separately incorporated branch of GWQ dedicated to the administration and funding of fellowships for postgraduate research. It raises funds through its academic regalia hiring and sales service, Academic Dress Hire Service (ADHS). All profits from this operation together with income on invested funds, provide Fellowships to women postgraduate students. For information regarding fellowships see www.fellowshipsfund.com.au.

The Gold Coast Branch is the oldest established branch having being formed in 1979. They meet every month/second month; have a monthly book club, discussion group, local secondary school educational projects and a very dynamic social program. The Branch awards three annual bursaries (Griffith, Bond and Southern Cross Universities) to promising female students who have excelled in the fields of education and community affairs. The Sunshine Coast Branch was formed in 1991 with 21 members. It now has a much larger membership and supports a number of activities.

Our Branch awards:
- Annual undergraduate bursaries are offered to students who have completed at least 1 year of their degree at University of the Sunshine Coast
- One STEMM (Supporting Teenagers with Education, Mothering & Mentoring) bursary to a student who has successfully completed the TPP course and is enrolling in University of the Sunshine Coast
- Two mini-bursaries to exiting Refugee students from Milpera State High School
